Q. After I upload my pages to Geocities, should I continue to edit them in Notebook or can I edit them in the Geocities HTML editor? I noticed that the editing I did at Geocities didn't show up in my Notebook files (I didn't really expect them to). Which way is best, or is it a personal preference thing?
A. Always best to continue working in notepad and uploading to geo. Working in the online editor without backing up to hard drive is a no-no.
Q. If we edit in the notebook on our hard drive & then upload to geo have we to delete the existing files on the server first & upload the edited ones.
If we use the online editor why do we have to back up to hard drive & how to do the backup.
A.You don't have to delete the old files in geo. before you upload new files. The old files will automatically be overwritten by the new files when they're uploaded. If the files aren't saved in notebook and geocities crashes or has other tech. problems you could loose everything that wasn't saved on your hard drive in notebook.
